Begin by noticing
Choose seven often-overlooked garments. For each, write one reason you kept it: a texture, a color, or a memory. Notes beside a photograph offer more information than sorting everything into “like” and “dislike.”
One small change a day
On the following days, combine one overlooked item with something you wear often. Change a layer, a hem, or an accessory. Note how the combination actually feels. A photograph and an unbroken streak are both optional.
Keep the combinations you will use
At the end, keep two combinations you would genuinely wear again. Name a situation for each and one detail to adjust. The result is a personal reference for everyday decisions rather than a shopping list.
Make it a small practice
- Photograph seven pieces and one reason for keeping each.
- Try combinations that change one variable at a time.
- Keep two combinations you would use again.
