Describe what happened
Start with the activity, place, and approximate duration, then add one concrete detail. Do not invent calorie counts, rankings, or measurements to make the record look impressive. A useful note lets your future self understand what actually happened.
Use your own words
Choose one word for the experience before, during, and after: anticipation, distraction, ease, or curiosity, for example. These are personal observations, not a diagnosis or a measure of health.
Choose one small adjustment
Use the note to choose one adjustment: another familiar place, having your equipment ready, or inviting someone who wants to join. One journal page does not need to become an elaborate long-term program.
Make it a small practice
- Record the activity, place, and actual duration.
- Write an experience word for each of the three stages.
- Choose one adjustment for the next time.
