Agree before starting
Choose a form of passing you both know. Agree on distance, a starting signal, and an ending signal. Make the pass and the catch predictable to each other instead of unexpectedly adding speed or difficulty. You can first rehearse the rhythm without a ball.
Observe one thing at a time
In one round, notice when the other person is ready. In another, notice the glance or hand signal before the pass. If the sequence breaks, describe what happened before changing the agreement. A concrete signal is more useful than “pay more attention.”
Record the agreement that helped
Afterward, each person writes one signal that helped and one arrangement that made continuing enjoyable. Put the answers together as a small record of cooperation. It can become a sports journal entry without exaggerated achievements.
Make it a small practice
- Agree on signals for starting, stopping, and being ready.
- Observe one signal per round.
- Each name one specific helpful thing the other person did.
